Base goku isnt as strong as them, who by this movie SHOULD be as strong as teen gohan circa movie 9. Even krillin exhibited almost ssj tier type strength in this film.

Always has been. For the adults and the kids. as well as the villain. Bio broly was a failed experiment. It was only once it turned to sludge did it seem like the kids were even having a problem with him.

But movie goten could, just like you said. Thats all. Comparing the anime side to the movie side, there always is an advantage on the movie side, like the two boys being even stronger than teen gohan in movie 9 in movie 13. bio broly didnt happen to long after brolys return, what? a year or so? those boys got real strong real quick.

So, no contradiction there. Yeh but initially Gohan could only use it as a ssj(that right?), and Goku was able to use it a bit in base. Goten should be about equal to the Gohan who could only lift the sword while in ssj, so Base Goku is about as strong as ssj Goten who was able to fight against Bio-Broly.

You say that you have always been of the opinion that Goten could not be as strong as SSjin Gohan, but based off what?We are shown that Goten is close to Gohan's level in the manga, and Trunks is even stronger than Goten. And this isn not contradicted in Movie 13, since at thattime they both had already entered the RoSaT. And movie 11 is not a contradiction either. Evidently Bio-Broly isn't near as strong as the original Broly was. It's not that Goten and Trunks excelled greatly in such a short time. The only movie I would say Goten's power is contradicted is in Movie 10, where we see Base Gohan take on SSjin Broly and he seems to do better than SSjin Goten and trunks did, when in fact they are on SSjin Teen Gohan's level. @ Wolffang - Actually, Gohan used SSjin to pull the Zet Sword out of the rock, but afterwards he only needed his base level in order to swing it about initially. But we see that he trains with it while in SSjin also.
